Greetings to all.  Thanks for reading the bulletin

As you know we are sending an exchange student to Japan for a year starting soon.
Nathaniel McQueen and his parents will be guests at Friday's meeting, so we need to make them
welcome and hear some words from Nathaniel. Bill Cowell has put so much effort into arranging
this exchange. The parents of this exchange student are obliged to host our incoming exchange
student and this will require much extra work for Bill in the coming year. An incoming student has
not been arranged as yet.

Nathaniel will be part of a group of inbound and outbound students which we are to provide
accommodation and host at our meeting on Dec 11.

As the Toowoomba Rotary clubs have been asked to help with Carols by Candlelight ,the board will
discuss this next Tuesday. The details of this venture have been emailed to everyone. Looks like we
wlll be looking for volunteers on Dec 13.

Our recent meetings have featured many guests which is great for fellowship at meetings . Please
continue to invite guests, potential new members and Friends of Rotary.

Membership committee will meet briefly after Fridays meeting

Base services is needing substantial funds for a coldroom. I think some clubs ae considering using
Nakaru money. For those who don`t know the Nakaru money we have is a result of the proceeds of
the sale of Rotary`s Regents on the Lake . It is on term deposit ---see Teresa.

Word of the week EFFECTIVENESS . As we are all busy people , we may question the EFFECTIVENESS
of what we are engaged in. Rotary shows us many ways of providing EFFECTIVE service, so that we
must look at the EFECTIVENESS of our clubs projects

Keep well and busy, see you Friday

Peter
